AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF COLCORD ESTABLISHING RESIDENTIAL PERMIT FEES; PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF FEES; PROVIDING FOR ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT; REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE TOWN OF COLCORD, OKLAHOMA:

SECTION 1. PURPOSE

The purpose of this Ordinance is to establish reasonable fees for residential permits and related inspections in order to offset administrative and inspection costs associated with construction, remodeling, placement, and development activities within the municipality.

SECTION 2. RESIDENTIAL PERMIT REQUIRED

No person, firm, contractor, corporation, or property owner shall erect, construct, enlarge, alter, move, improve, demolish, or convert any building or structure within the municipal limits without first obtaining a residential permit from the Town when required by municipal code.

SECTION 3. RESIDENTIAL PERMIT FEES

The following residential permit fees are hereby established:

A. Residential Construction

1. Individual Permits: (Existing Construction only including mobile/manufactures homes and shops/detached garages)
   1.  Electrical, plumbing, or mechanical permits when separately required: $25.00 each.
   1.  Fence permit: $25.00.
   1.  Residential additions or remodels: $25.00 minimum fee.
   1.  Residential Pool (permanent construction in ground only) $25.00
   1.  Driveway (Any driveway that crosses utility right-of-way made of any material) $25.00.
   1.  Accessory buildings, sheds, carports, and garages: $25.00. (The movement of any residential or commercial dwelling in Town Limits)
   1.  Manufactured or mobile home placement: $25.00. (The movement of any residential or commercial dwelling in Town Limits)
   1.  Demolition permit: $25.00.
   1.  Roofing permit: $25.00.
   1.  Sign permit: $25.00. (New install, upgrades and repair)

SECTION 4. PAYMENT OF FEES

All permit fees shall be paid prior to issuance of the permit. No permit shall be issued until all applicable fees have been received by the Town.

SECTION 5. ADMINISTRATION

The Mayor, City Clerk, Building Inspector, or designated municipal official is authorized to administer and enforce the provisions of this Ordinance, including the issuance of permits and collection of fees.

SECTION 6. PENALTIES

Any person violating the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of an offense and may be subject to fines, penalties, stop-work orders, or other remedies authorized by law.

SECTION 7. REPEALER

All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
